Privacy and Payment in Adult Services
Privacy here concerns both sides: those who pay and those who get paid. Understanding where the traces actually remain is more useful than any universal advice.
What shows on a statement
Usually not the site's name but that of a processing company — a neutral combination of letters. This is standard practice for adult payment processing. It does not confer full anonymity: the transaction itself is stored by the bank and tied to the payer's identity.
What the platform keeps
- An email address and, as a rule, an IP address
- Purchase and viewing history
- Age verification data, if verification took place
- Payment details — usually as a token rather than a card number
The volume retained and the retention period should be described in a privacy policy. The absence of a coherent policy is itself an indicator of the service's standard.
Sensible measures
A separate mailbox for such services. A separate card with a limited balance — which also protects against repeat subscription charges. Switching off auto-renewal immediately after payment if you do not intend to renew.
From the creator's side
Payouts require identity verification — a condition set by payment systems that cannot be circumvented. A pseudonym protects you from an audience but not from a processor. A separate account for professional activity simplifies both bookkeeping and separation.
What not to do
Use services that ask you to send documents by ordinary message or through a messenger. Legitimate identity verification runs through specialised systems, not correspondence with an administrator.
